The weather is getting much warmer these days in Melbourne, so I was planning to shoot an OOTD series about my springtime fashion.

My life in the past three months are packed with chaos, excitement, worries… good things and bad things came together and I had to make more efforts to settle and calm down than usual. I mean, it’s not my very first time moving to a new place and start a new life (actually I moved quite frequently these years), but it is the time that I came to a place with so many pressure behind me with an unknown future. I am at that awkward age that can no longer call myself a kid who has plenty of time to waste, but in a new place, there is very little I can do. 2017 is kind of an exhausting year, I realised that I become lazier to pick up the things I love such as blogging, photography and lots of other new things. Sometimes I am afraid of being a boring person but there are already so many things are taking up my time and exhausting me from the inside. I think that is the post-graduation syndrome they called.
I am that kind of people whose emotion can easily be affected by weather, so I kept wondering if moving to Melbourne (the weather here is just like London you know) is a correct decision for me. But thinking of the silver lining: it’s still summer here, so I literally have spent my 2017 with sunshine, beaches and tropical greenery 🙂 Happy 2018 to you all and let’s have a great year ahead.

There’s no way to escape from the humidity and the endless rain. As far as I could remember, Hong Kong has been in rainy season for over 2 months: umbrella is my Must-Have for sure and the rain/typhoon/storm have also ruined a few pairs of my sandals, so slippers have become the only option left for my summer fashion.
Then I flied to Thailand, hoping to have a sunshine-beach-coconut juice therapy like before, but the fact is, July-August are also rainy months in Thailand. The whole beach looks gloomy and windy…fine, then let’s forget about the sunshine-bikini-beach fantasy and put my velvet bandeau on 🙂

Tips to survive the showers: 1. wear calf-length culottes 2. wear sandals 3. change them to rain boots when it rains heavier (@Fashionmimo)

Long time no see! Hope you all are doing well 😉
First, apologies for my super-long title, it’s from a book title of Haruki Murakami. However, this post is all about my nagging and has no relation with the great writer at all lol. People have always been asking me how my life is in Singapore, feels like I really seldom update anything about this place. Is it because of the sunshine and hot weather here making me lazy?
Out of my expectation, life in Singapore can be very slow. Sometimes I even feel like I’m having a retired life here compared to in Hong Kong.
So, here I’m just gonna randomly post some photos, please understand my laziness. (@Fashionmimo)

Recently I found out some old pics about Denim. It was 2014 when I shot some pics for my layout design assignment and till today I still find these outfits interesting.
I always believe that if you wanna wear denim smart, just wear it on another denim! BUT! Just be aware of the colors and designs of your denim clothes, I don’t suggest you pairing your loose shirt and loose pants together…cuz sometimes it could be really awful… (@Fashionmimo)

Clockenflap Music & Arts Festival is back in Hong Kong again this weekend. With over 45,000 participants in 2014, the scale is even larger this year . So please dress up and get ready for the music, arts and film carnival.
It’s never too hard to decide what to wear for a music festival: you could just wear whatever you want! To be Comfortable and Interesting, I think maybe that’s the only rule.
In fact, I have been dreaming to do some 70s outfit for a long time but I don’t have much chances to practice it since normally I’m just a bookworm shuttling between lecture hall and dorm.
So let’s see what are my key concepts about 70s:
1.Denim, especially flared jeans
If I have to choose 10 coolest designs ever, flared jeans must top the list. People always say there’s a revival of flared jeans but seriously has it ever been out of date??

2. Midriff Top, don’t be shy to show your belly!
Before the prosperity of American Apparel, my impression of 70s is all about the midriff top! Now they call it crop top and it’s just for those with perfect abs, what a shame!
3. Miniskirt, the high-waisted one
The fashion revolution of miniskirt since the early 1960s gives an enduring impact on our clothing culture. Even though it’s been over 50 years since the miniskirt protest outside Dior London, we still see the shorten hemline as a symbol to fight for women’s right today.

Keep wondering what’s going on with the weather, it’s already mid-November but in Hong Kong you still feel like in summer. So every time when I see a long coat, I tell myself “Ok I will bring you home next time, if it gets cooler.” But I still haven’t got the chance LOL
Last Sunday I have visited Peng Chau, a small island near Hong Kong with no traffic on. The only way to get there is to take a 20 mins ferry from the Central in Hong Kong. Basically it’s a small village surrounded by the ocean and mountains (there’s a popular hiking trail called Peng Yu Path btw). My art teacher Mr. Yeung is a Peng Chau based art guru and he has a gallery here. Thanks to his invitation, I have the chance to explore this tranquil place with strong local culture.
Since there’s no car on the island, bikes are necessary for both tourists and residents.(@Fashionmimo)

Have to say this island is really an ideal place for photo shooting, thank you Nana Wu for modelling this time ❤ (@Fashionmimo)
It was tea time when we entered the restaurant. In Peng Chau, afternoon tea is never a highbrow thing. Just to grab some milktea with a sandwich, life should be easy isn’t it? (@Fashionmimo)
Though it’s already Thursday due to my procrastination, I still wanna share my Street Snap Monday season 2 with you girls 😀

First post in October! Just realised that there are only 3 months left for this year, it’s just too fast! I keep wondering why time passes much much faster now than when I was a kid, anyone feels the same?
In order to get rid of my tangled long hair and to welcome the upcoming turtule-neck season(:D), I cut my long hair short. And have to say, it’s super cool to have a carefree and neat hairstyle! Especially good for those mornings when I gotta rush to class after maybe like 4 hours sleep, I don’t even need a comb 😀
It rained a lot in Hong Kong these days, then after this maybe we will eventually have the cool autumn. So let’s see what my OOTD is for the pre-fall weather.
Maybe some would ask: WHY pencil skirt AGAIN?? Well, I have to apologise for my pencil-skirt fetish(lol) but I’m always in love with their nice cutting!
This time I chose a longer one with side slits. The thick fabric brings more vintage feelings to the whole look. (@Fashionmimo)
Also I need some petit flowers to avoid being dull, ring and necklace both from the french brand Les Nereides. (@Fashionmimo)
