Weekday Day+Night Inspiration

Everyone loves to look fashionable, but most people wouldn’t bother to spend an hour  to dress up on weekdays, neither do I. Especially when your company has certain dress code, there wouldn’t be too much room for you to be creative. But just wonder if there’s an important date/dinner afterwork and you don’t have time to get changed, uh-oh…then it’s time to think about how to make your commuter outfits less-boring.

I didn’t come out with this idea just by myself, thanks to the invitation from AUrate New York, I get a chance to think about how should professional women dress up themselves to get the perfect from-day-to-night transition. To me, I think the match of dress+blazer is something you will never go wrong.

Nude color is one of my fav for work/formal occasions, and PLEASE try to avoid black blazer if you still want to go out at night! (@Fashionmimo)

The dress I wear is from the UK brand REISS,  this chiffon dress with different layers provides you different style to wear it. Usually I would untie the ribbon on my waist afterwork to show the layer and loose feeling of the dress. (@Fashionmimo)

  1. This look is just so perfect for both work and a night out! I love the dress!! It just looks fantastic! The color, the drapes, everything is just so simple yet beautiful.
However I don’t think a black blazer would do any bad at night, it can look really “not workish” too…depending on what you wear it with…or maybe it’s because I am Parisian I don’t know haha.
