70’s Fever

Clockenflap Music & Arts Festival is back in Hong Kong again this weekend. With over 45,000 participants in 2014, the scale is even larger this year . So please dress up and get ready for the music, arts and film carnival.

It’s never too hard to decide what to wear for a music festival: you could just wear whatever you want! To be Comfortable and Interesting, I think maybe that’s the only rule.

In fact, I have been dreaming to do some 70s outfit for a long time but I don’t have much chances to practice it since normally I’m just a bookworm shuttling between lecture hall and dorm.

So let’s see what are my key concepts about 70s:

1.Denim, especially flared jeans

If I have to choose 10 coolest designs ever, flared jeans must top the list. People always say there’s a revival of flared jeans but seriously has it ever been out of date??

2. Midriff Top, don’t be shy to show your belly!

Before the prosperity of American Apparel, my impression of 70s is all about the midriff top! Now they call it crop top and it’s just for those with perfect abs, what a shame!

3. Miniskirt, the high-waisted one

The fashion revolution of miniskirt since the early 1960s gives an enduring impact on our clothing culture. Even though it’s been over 50 years since the miniskirt protest outside Dior London, we still see the shorten hemline as a symbol to fight for women’s right today.
